Compilation video of my Shadowdark/SoloDark homebrew process and one-shot!

When I begin my Pendragon campaign, tempted to use this wee 'Beadle & Grimms Gamemaster's Journal' to document my characters' growth!
Candela Obscura video is live ๐ฎ in this one I create characters using a D100 verb-noun table!
youtube.com/watch?v=5FMv...
For my Candela Obscura prep I've created another D100 sheet. It's a verb-noun combo that uses words with an Edwardian slant. This will be in play when I ask the Oracle something - or when I need inspo! Will also go on my Patreon once it's pretty and refined ๐
Ahh I love this! What a great idea. I use one mechanic from the table to focus on religious guilt (due to Tudor/reformation theme). The original one I wrote led with a magic theme!
Next I'm thinking greed, jealousy etc. and mechanics for those. Maybe I will write some uplifting ones - eventually ๐
Ever wondered how you can create a mechanical consequence for guilt in your games? Wonder no more. In this video I talk about how I go about imbuing guilt into my games and what this means for the overarching story/campaign. It has cool implications for solo and group games

Ahh! That's really cool ๐
This may not be relevant lol, but I like to use grids for brainstorming โ specifically a morphological matrix, when I'm designing monsters etc. Never really thought about using them as a concept in a game, until now ๐ค
Edgar Allan Poe Horror Game Book is live โ again, had the worst luck of late when it comes to uploading videos ๐

You're welcome!
From my experience I do this when I need/want to/have the bandwidth to accommodate it. When it starts getting in the way, I let it go and pick it up again. For me free writing/journalling serves a temporary purpose at different times :)
I was tempted. In the past I did 30 mins of free writing every morning โ or whenever I had time, mainly because I wanted to use up some notebooks. Tbh I did find the process useful in terms of thinking of ideas while writing my novel. There was occasionally some gold in the stream of consciousness ๐
Edgar Allan Poe The Horror Gamebook by Valentino Sergi
Just finished filming/playing 'Edgar Allan Poe: The Horror Gamebook'. Very very clever! Will be live this Sunday 1st Feb ๐
I am in good company then!

Surprise video! In this one, I'm using the creative tools that I've made to flesh out a character and build a new Tudor world :D

Your instinct was correct!
A Star Is Born! Was going to say Lady Gaga was in it, but that would have given it away ๐
You're kind of close in a way haha! Also great film and this does kinda work with it.
Clue...Judy Garland was in the second remake of this film
Ok so I wrote a heck of a lot more movie haikus than I thought, let's play a game guess the film from the haiku:
Her light burns brightly
His is slowly dying out
Eclipsed by her shine
๐ค
Putting together all my old movie haikus into an ebook! ๐ Starting off with Jaws
There is indeed, though it does serve as more of an intro to the game. Nevertheless, it's still a good way for experienced players and GMs to see how it would be played solo!
I'm releasing a video this Sunday, where I play it the whole way through :D
www.chaosium.com/pendragon-st...
I like that, I was thinking of having a game that I stick with as a secondary type of video that isn't as regular as the weekly plays, but ticks along in the background, the Raven was another one I'd like to build a bigger world with as well!
As I was playing it I kept thinking to myself why I hadn't played it sooner. Loved the heavy focus on character development and how traits influence actions/rolls etc.
Just finished playing the Pendragon solo supplement, what a game!
New video! All 7 basic plots and their application to TTRPG writing is live :D really enjoyed making this series
