I think the eels in the Avon in downtown Christchurch win though!

That’s a new one. My favourite were the ducks on queen street
Is it ableist of my wife to still make fun of my strong opinions on my cutlery?
I once did a double header of Grave of the Fireflies and Requiem for a Dream in one weekend. I don’t know why.
Do you have a recommended one click idiot proof printer? I get angsty about converting digital to paper and it’s holding back on some other projects but I’ve just realised I totally ignore printable pdfs because of that hangup…
A lot of advertising wouldn’t be necessary if the usual suspects (who will be complaining about the advertising spend) didn’t spend so much time shittalking it for the past decade.
Kids don’t pay taxes so why do they deserve representation?
Steermouse for life
Worst privacy commission in my living memory, they are supposed to be pushing us hard in the right direction so that compromises are somewhere in the middle, but when they preemptively compromise the actual eventual compromise is much worse
I think I knew that deep down, but I was
Prepared to be pleasantly surprised!
I’d forgotten about those diagrams. I have a big folder of hopes and dreams but they all muddle into a slurry these days!
Keep it simple, something like dpoint.docomo.ne.jp
Finally - need one at the other end too but fi ally. How’s the mid block Hobson street crossing coming along?
Way way more common in Christchurch, with the latitude difference it makes no sense for the disparity
I feel bad that I can only ❤️ this once
Omg they make a tipper truck version
Wantttttt
I locked myself out for the first time ever exactly 1 day after better half left the country. Conveniently realised the day before that a small high up window was painted ‘shut’. A few precariously balanced wheelie bins later I was gracefully doing a handstand on my office desk.
Been a long time coming, but expecting a bunch of high end nonsense no one needs - my dream was to be filthy rich and redevelop it to be a ‘local first’ place - cheap rent for fresh fruit, butcher and services for city centre residents (and marbecs forever). Currently not fabulously wealthy tho….
No one will touch the berm trees - has to be council contractor. No one would take our money.
Three years been waiting for a job to trim around our power lines in Grafton, major tree interference wind causes all sorts of fun lighting effects. Got another update a few weeks back that it’s been delayed again. We moved house(/islands) over a year ago. Absolute farce.
It will be relitigated for eternity. We need to rip the asphalt out so that the people who never visit the city (whose views are being ‘represented’ here) balk at the cost of reinstatement (because they value nothing enough to actually pay for it)
Any decent apartments in it though? The market seems to have landed at “high end” ($1.4m 70sqm 2bdrm with nothing about it actually high end)) and “studio”
my future planning hinges on the assumption that these will make solar ‘happen’ in a more meaningful way than just optimising for selling back to the grid. With enough roof space and cheap batteries hopefully can get close to affordable grid independence. possible now, just poor payback time
The driveways really remind me of Paris ❤️
I am toughing it out because I don’t want vendor lock in - open source always wins there, though I’m locked in to a tool all the same. But yeah daily frustrations with it. I’d probably be happier with it if I hadn’t used tools with MUCH better viewports and more opinionated (coherent) design…
I’ve set auto save to every minute…. The sheer number of dump to desktop crashes on basic operations is brutal. The lack of organisation in the constraints kills me, the nightmare of finding disconnects in sketches, booleans that just… fail. Big 🤔on giving up on parameteric and going back to blender
I’m here to make sure that FreeCad and Darktable also get played dogpiled
And superannuation contributions! And nurse and teacher salaries …
