Before I left Twitter, I saw countless people attempting to clout chase with new rage bait — like a woman who explicitly entered Folsom for the sole purpose of being scandalized, or men who pay to attend circuit parties with the intention of being offended they are at said circuit party.
It’s not right wing propaganda, I don’t keep many friends my age because it’s jarring. There’s this want to be seen as queer, but general anger at queer culture; much of their offense is right wing, Fox News hack outrage masked as “reporting”.
It’s the same people who refuse to support queer lit, but bemoan the lack of representation… like sureeeeeeee
