Last concept art of the mosquito. Each one has a "tail", an external stomach, that fills up after they feast. They stay happy for as long as the stomach is full, and then then need to hunt for another victim. They are a odd version of vampires, basically. And yes. They do sparkle.

I started rendering the buddy from the bottom up, because his "dress" is such a big part of the design. And I am VERY aware that if I started from mushrooms I would overfocus on that and ignore dress
So I'll treat myself with the fungi tomorrow :3

Hah, that would be fair :'> I have written this concept two years ago, back then it was my reaction to a very nasty gamedev company I worked for. "Hey, what if there was a dark fey eating creativity, leaving just an empty human shell behind?"
And then that concept became even more grim. Oh well :']
Abhartach have two forms, one empty (as on picture) and one full (next post). They are a bit like sirens, succubi, nymphs or vampires, but instead of being solitary, they always hunt/consume in large groups
Today I bring you the new bug elf! My spellchecker keeps correcting bug elves to butt elves. So here we are. It is what it is. And what it is, is a Mosquito Elf. They are called the Abhartach, they seduce & eat creative people so they can be creative

Omg, that is such a big compliment 🫢💙 THANK YOU so much! I tried my best, this is a rare case when a whole character is made from very alien textures, and I wanted to do my best to convey that
I tried to put extra effort into textures, as the whole character is made of the same material and I didn't want her to look monotonous. So I did a loooooong study to figure out the surface and painted slowly every crystal step by step

This unique character is named Niss, they are a crystal lich basically! We did a lot of fun sketches/exploration before setting on the shape, colours and the textures. I added some in-progress so you can see for yourself
