Keen to follow how you get on with it! Curious to see the VIC-II and SID in use too.

Loved seeing this at #Retrofest - perfect retro tech for the location too. The Hornby brochure from 1979 was scarily nostalgic too!
Was great meeting you and you've definitely inspired me to dig out an Aquarius and see if we can get it working!
Really great stand! Us from #TNMOC loved your Tektonix 4052 and getting our heads round how the storage tube display works! Really unusual and great to see it working.
Amazing day yesterday at #Retrofest meeting lots of lovely people from here. 2 highlights for me were the P500 from @binarydinosaurs.co.uk and the Max from βͺ@asobitech.comβ¬ . 2 rare Commodore machines that were great to see working!

Another monitor for @tnmoc.bsky.social This is a nice example of a Philips CM8833 mkii from the early 90βs. I replaced the power switch but no picture and a high pitched noise. Suspect the LOPT has gone, and now guided by a video from Neil @visitthecave.bsky.social on its replacement. Thanks Neil!
Amiga monitor now fully fixed. The power LED wasnβt working. It was both faulty and installed the wrong way around! Also located a front flap from a faulty monitor in the store. Ready to be paired with an Amiga 2000 at the museum #TNMOC
I think the C64C is unjustifiably unloved. The breadbin was the icon (and what I had), but if you want a reliable 64 these days the C64C is a great bet. We recently went through our entire 64 inventory, and every single 64C worked. The one in our PC gallery is used everyday by visiting schools.
The PSU saver was from garjo3364 on eBay
Having fun testing our stock of #C64 PSUs. Initial multi-meter voltage check, then using a handy PSU saver with built in voltage meter to test on real machine. Most were ok, 2 with no output and 1 dropped to 3.5v under load. None were over voltage which is often worried about with these PSUs.
I've just recently set a new VIC20 in our PC Gallery with this on at #TNMOC. My first time using a VIC20, a C64 was my first computer. Cool game for the machine and handy for us as it's on cartridge so easy to load to each day. So far seems popular with the visiting schools!

The original BlinkenLights #TNMOC π
Always love some BlinkenLights!
This is looking amazing! Will be part of our Amiga 40th exhibition later this year.

Ours is the most modern exhibit in the #TNMOC PC gallery, but it is really popular. Especially with visiting school children who are used to their PS5s!

I'm currently working on an Amiga 1081 monitor for TNMoC. This one was found in a non-working state with some missing parts. I've replaced the BUT11A PSU power transistor, and a 4.7Ohm 7W resistor. The power transistor was missing its insulating material and clamp, so I had to fit an insulating kit.
One of the standard C128s wasn't happy and did this on boot - going to need more investigation.

The Commodore 128DCR is very cool - I think this U1 error is normal due to the built in 1571 as both our ones reported this? This one had an intact warranty sticker - couldn't bring myself to break it so carefully heat-gunned it off!

Very nostalgic working our way through our #Commodore128 collection - I had one after my Breadbin when I was growing up. I hardly ever did anything then other than use it in #C64 mode, and so far it's been much the same at #TNMOC.
Any suggestions for things we can show people on them?

Flying Toasters!
Our Mac SE had been out of action for a while with a very dim screen. @retroworkshop.bsky.social braved an HV probe to show the EHT was Ok, tube had reached end of life. Handily we also had a very battery damaged donor machine - one tube swap later it's back in ready for #MARCHintosh π #TNMOC
Just did the same, very funny reading all the recent reviews on there too!
If you hear of any going cheap near Milton Keynes please do let us know π
It's one of those things where you don't want to promote them too much as it drives the eBay prices up π! We still want to get more for the museum when we have some funds (unless anyone would like to donate some!).
Agree about the KDL-15G2000 - plenty on eBay, nice inputs and a great picture in the right aspect ratio.
