We need your drone interceptors for our war, but we won’t thank you and our propaganda will claim that we made them.

The average UK family throws away about £1000 worth of food each year – and this contributes to greenhouse gas emissions. Bread, milk, fruit & veg are the most commonly binned items – but waste can be easily avoided!

Savour the irony here. For a year the Trump administration have browbeaten Zelensky as a loser with no cards. Now they turn to him for anti-drone defences. Perhaps they will now recognise that Ukraine is a valuable, battle-hardened ally.
The president’s attack on Iran is about building an American dynasty - and stuffing his family’s coffers yet further

This does suggest we'd have some problems if Nigel Farage had been prime minister, of course. He'd have put us into a war that on reflection he now thinks is a bad idea. When you're in opposition you can change your mind on this stuff. That's much harder in government.
🔴Crypto Donations Now Accepted by Three UK Parties as Concerns Grow Over Foreign Interference Threat
Reform UK and the far-right Homeland Party are now both accepting cryptocurrency donations, as calls grow for Labour to use its elections bill to secure our democracy

The Bear Mutated — Vladimir Putin’s greatest trick was convincing the West that the Cold War ended in 1991 with a whimper and a Big Mac in Pushkin Square.
By sticking to the correct and popular position on Iran, even under relentless attacks from the right-wing press, Keir Starmer has forced his political opponents into an embarrassing reversal.
It is a lesson his Government should learn from bylinetimes.com/2026/03/10/n...

Cancel the April state visit to the US.
A state visit from our King should not be given to someone who repeatedly insults our country.
Satire was dead long ago. Now he did the same to standup comedy.
Flabbergasting.

The government is finally asking if they should ban cages for hens in the UK. 🐔🐔 Lobbyists are trying to block it, so we need huge numbers to show them that the public wants this ban NOW: you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/en...

This very straight news piece buried deep within the FT never uses words like corruption or insider dealing but every detail is quietly devastating. Why is the FT virtually alone in the UK media in covering this important story?
This story suggests that Witkoff and Kushner bungled the negotiations with Iran because they don't understand nuclear technology

Look at their faces. Look at how excited they are. What an uplifting moment in the horror of war.
Compare this thread to the Chilcot Checklist, produced after the invasion of Iraq to avoid another stupid war.
A rather gloomy read...,
When I ask students whether they ever read for pleasure, the most common response is a look of total incomprehension, as if I've asked whether they play with dollies or ride a tricycle. Followed by "well, I did when I was a child".

This is really excellent - the creation of a register of 'options over land' will help show if developers are land banking, and allow communities and councils to better understand who controls land in their area.

People in Britain need to be really clear that the reason they are about to be worse off is Donald Trump and his enablers.
Get off fossil fuels. Keep us safe from mad dictators. 👇🏾
Achieving UK’s net zero target by 2050 will cost less than a single oil shock and bring health and economic benefits while insulating the country against future costs, says CCC:

“hypocrisy isn’t the main issue here. Rather, it’s the loss of reliable federal support for vaccines, and how that loss is already dissuading companies from developing new shots that could someday protect hundreds of millions of people from dangerous, even lethal infections.”
I was in a 2 hour briefing today on the Iran War. All the briefings are closed, because Trump can't defend this war in public.
I obviously can't disclose classified info, but you deserve to know how incoherent and incomplete these war plans are.
1/ Here's what I can share:
I explained a while ago that it would be impossible to say anything about Trump’s Iranian ‘adventure’ with absolute certainty. I’m sorry, I was wrong. He will *never* do anything that genuinely upsets or angers Vladimir Putin. Whether in Iran, in Ukraine or even in the USA. It is his only constant.
