I had to go and look this up and I was shocked to find it was not listed by who I suspected it would be, nor was it as much as they would have wanted for it.
Still wasn't tempted sadly.

You haven't truly lived until you've had a FOR loop reading 0-255 values from a DATA statement and POKEing it into the specific memory range that held the empty 8*8 glyphs in the Spectrum's character set.

A stupid podcast I listen to has a bit of often pronouncing extremely Warhammer names like Gloomspite Gits with the soft G because of this and it always kills me.
It's all in the vest. Very nerf-herder.
Have I yelled about Supplice yet? If you like OG Doom engine/Build-era stuff you owe it to yourself to give it a spin.
Portal's out! The base is free of course (including all the shaders, controller script and animations), but if you want to support me I made some presets too!

Tragically I can't really make every light in this game glaringly pink/blue because its set in ordinary flats/apartments ca. 2000ish. Next time round I ma doing a space base or something and going ham.
I also may have been spending a little time each work day the past week or so trying things out with Godot's lightmap rendering and discovering that if you are trying to create a fairly naturalistic look with minimal visible light sources it's still really hard.
It was always fun, not least because "mathematically accurate" lighting calculations never match how we perceive lighting.
If you're after sweet, sweet visuals, don't miss out on one of the best human artists around on a rare period of being available for work.
A blue-grey landscape with hints of lava
Terrain texturing comes full circle as I take my original messing around with lava and rock, use my improved skills from the other biomes, and finish up with a "volcano" texture set.

I'm never going to stop being mad about them removing date order from searches and it's been years now since they did it.
The search now is so blatantly algofied that it's not even funny.
New updates for my interactive guide about tweens!!!
Very excited about this one because it explains whats the deal with "if tween: tween.kill()"!
There are now 15+ fun pages that covers almost everything you need to truly understand #Godot tweens, for free!

Screenshot of an exterior area of an unreleased add-on level for Doom 2 with some custom textures. Doom guy is pretty beat up.
On Sundays we muck about with DOOM levels.

It's everywhere online really. Any time you ask about anything it's painfully apparent very few read the spec!
You _could_ spend some of your Sunday playing our demo. It's good.
lol the two absolutely inevitable SHOGO suggestions even though it absolutely doesn't fit the description at all. The players yearn for SHOGO.
this week's transmission: ocular surveillance, amateur phlebotomy, verbal gardening
[demo available as part of steam next fest]
This looks epic!
Also feels like we're slowly building up an 'Into The' Awesome Music playlist π πΆ

Where there are no roads, the RPG I worked on with Brian Clevinger, is still funding! You've got a couple more weeks to grab a copy, including the option of a custom car design from me!
These are the inks for the six vehicles designed (so far!)

Here's a look at how the mattress physics look using my debug view. A mattress is essentially a 3x5 grid of rigid bodies connected with joints to flex, and then stacked on another grid kinda like 2 pieces of bread, with springs between them for compression
Can't have flat shaded particles in a mid-90s game, we need giant sprites I'm afraid. So I've brought out _The Explosion_. Got it down to 23 colors and merged into the main palette, and then hacked in playback. Next to clean that code so I can throw sprites around like Super Mario. #gamedev #lowpoly
βThis game is a blast, and a very unique take on the tower defense genreβ

A dusty sandy terrain with lots of beige fog, blended into an orange sky.
Terrain demo is going well. Added a horizon gradient. Went full Earthseige 2 with the palette :D #gamedev #lowpoly
it started to look satisfying.

More terrain texture practice for my mid-90s engine. Managed to make a set of sandy textures in about an hour, which is *much much* faster than the moon looking one took me. Planning to work on a skybox next, enjoy the fog for now.
