Juan David was among the 15 people who lost their lives when a small Satena flight crashed in the rural area of Norte de Santander while traveling from Cúcuta to Ocaña on January 28, 2026.

Unfortunately, there were no survivors.

Today is a very sad day.
My beloved cousin Juan David Pacheco Mejía, full of joy, energy, and kindness, passed away yesterday in a tragic accident. He has left a huge hole in our family, and his loss will be deeply felt in Colombia.
