Surge in pensioners in temporary accommodation condemned as βmoral catastropheβ
New figures showing the number of pensioners in temporary accommodation has nearly doubled in a year have been branded as a βmoral catastropheβ.
The 90 per cent rise in pensioner homelessness is a moral catastrophe. It demands the Β£130m autumn budget capital funds being allocated to new social housing, and a statutory duty to prevent homelessness.

Northern Ireland renters face 'hidden tax' of benefits squeeze
The freeze in housing benefits for private renters is taking a toll on households in Northern Ireland, according to new research
π¨ CIH research is unequivocal - the LHA freeze is a major policy failure & a 'hidden tax' on NI renters.
It's deepening the housing crisis for low-income families. The UK Government has a clear opportunity to act in Wednesday's budget.
