Nice! A dozen of us would ride MBX in the creek next to our elementary school. High school kids on motocross bikes would occasionally braaap past us on there way to Fox Hills. They were like gods to us.
Motorsports cultures are very different between America and Europe. IMHO, Europe takes racing far more seriously.
Fun Fact - The KTM RC 8C is the same bike with more aero.
Fun Fact 2 - The Kramer came first.

The current absence of American riders in MotoGP is a bit irritating.
Maybe this will help.

Still around. We removed the ear padding. But only used for very short rides in town on surface streets. Fit great in a small locker.

Ah yes. Used to live in Aliso Viejo so know it well. Good times.
Nice! The right tool for each job.
Due to stubbornness issues, I have yet to “age out” into streetfighters. After streetfighters, I plan to age out into adventure bikes. After that I will age out into something like this.
It’s good to have plans. AND I am OK with decades of overlap.

Hah! Yes have three… and already picked out two more I would like to have.
KTM has a great program. Trackhouse would have jumped at this a few years ago.
Am a big fan of any car with a flat 6.
Nice! Thanks

Fun Fact - Magoo was the first rider in history to win all four motos at the 1982 Motocross des Nations and Trophee des Nations.
Bonus if you can name the rider.
Brochure for my second motorcycle. The last of the air cooled CR500’s. Still in high school and 135lb soaking wet so of course move from 125’s to the Open Class.

My 05 GSXR1000 has no visible stickers from all the mods done to it… unless you see the underside of the gas tank during servicing.
Awesome! In 83 I was a Denver high school kid with plans to move from 125 MX to the Open class. Getting my copy of Dirt Bike and MXA was a high point each month. To see what was going on in SoCal was like a dream come true to me. Moved there as soon as I could with both my kids born near SaddleBack.
Ricky Johnson (MX God), I hold you personally responsible for my #80s (and 90s) hairstyle.
Fun Fact - Jim Jannard founded #Oakley in 1975 by making and selling quality MX grips out of the back of his van at SoCal motocross races.
Fun Fact 2 - Jim named the company after his dog, Oakley Anne
Another “Still have the helmet”.
Let me direct your attention away from my pants and shoes.
Otherwise, in my defense, it was me in 1989. I was either on my way to the gym, coming from the gym, thinking about the gym, thinking about thinking of the gym or just out for a ride. #80s #The80s
