Yeooooooo congrats my man!
Interesting! My issue is storage on my 13 but am tempted by the battery swap. My worry is they reset the phone while doing it (did they?) as I am paranoid about restoring from the backup on my computer.
Yui Hasegawa is different gravy.
whatβs up #runsky - whatβs the feeling on bone conduction headphones? Iβve had AirPod Pros for a while, but thinking of swapping to OpenRun Pro bone conducting for (a) battery life and (b) open ear.
Any thoughts pro / con? Thanks!
Iβll definitely check these out. I think keeping a ceiling in mind will help me more so than zone riding - read somewhere that 180 minus your age + 5 gets your a good βceilingβ to aim for.
Is this something youβve heard too?
Yeah Iβve been doing this to be fair, itβs just the plodding shuffle that just feels wrong - and having run my only other half with 95% in zone 5, and most parkruns in z5, this is all very odd and new.
Letβs try #runsky β Iβve been using chatGPT as a running coach, and have a half in 6 weeks time.
My current zone 2 is set at 120-139bpm but I average about 140-146 on a long run (due to hills) and sticking for zone 2 is clocking me at 9-10 mins per km (painfully slow)
Any tips? How could I adjust?
Wood vs trees. Same with density plots. But what else is possible with the same data?
posted in the other place but thought i'd throw it here as well. dont want to become a linkedin warrior just yet.
What is the best way to visualise pressing data?
There's so much free data provided by StatsBomb (including StatsBomb 360), I would love to see greater continued evolution and innovation in beautiful insightful visualisations. #dataviz #sportanalytics
Will give these a go - thanks Brittany!
Podcast recommendations (Like Conflicted, Serial, Can I tell you a secret, Sergei & the Westminster spy ring, Putin etc) which are standalone & not weekly pls. Learning also good.
Same for books that are good as audiobooks (fiction & nonfiction)
Looking for stuff to have on whilst running!
what im expecting tonight
Yui Hasegawa is different gravy.
That settles that debate.
Cracking open the posh stuff. It is Christmas after all.
Anyone got any Yorkshire Tea vs Yorkshire Tea Gold takes?
#dataviz in the wild
Such a good thread. Thank you!
Questions to ask when collecting data What are the norms and expectations of the people represented by this data? How could individuals and/or communities be harmed by this use and/or the dissemination of the data? Who benefits from the use? Are the people benefiting the same ones who face potential harms? What could you do to mitigate the potential for harm and/or increase the likelihood of benefits? Can you answer these questions well enough to suggest that you are the right person to conduct this research or do this work?
Last week I gave a talk titled "When Data Is People: Ethics, Privacy and Ownership in Research & AI Uses of Public Data" that tied together this research ethics work with generative AI training data and also copyright. Here's one of the final slides.

What are some #boardgames / #tabletopgames youβd recommend for a n00b - 2 players is the regular, but could be up to 8-10?
