Big thanks to the editors at @ekphrasticreview.bsky.social for featuring this autofiction based on a portrait my father painted of me in the 1970s: www.ekphrastic.net
we need to talk about that Ring Super Bowl ad
Horror section with many horror books
The fantasy/horror section with many books of both sub genres
Weeeee! The horror section at @lahaskabookshop.bsky.social has expanded by two shelves!! Look at all those face outs! So damn pretty!
Yep. Road House (1948) is terrific, and Eddie Muller and Kim Morgan's DVD commentary is great as well.
Either way Iβm giving him a love bite!
Fell in love with Ida watching this film.
Rabbit, or pretzel? You decide.
I don't know how doofus can find this relaxing, but he falls asleep in these weird leg positions all the time.
The beginning of the end for Zenith and Apogee Maelstrom. Writing these books was the most creatively fulfilling thing I've done since #mlaatr and I love the audiobook versions. Give THE CURSED CLOAK a listen.

Discovered John Giorno and now I can't stop calling Dial-a-Poem. Really. dial-a-poem.org
Love this film. Just watched Thelma in Rear Window two nights ago. Sheβs always fantastic.
I should also say that my narrator @jaymyersvoiceover.bsky.social exceeded my wildest hopes with his interpretation of my characters. Here's the first part of TWISTED TOWER

It was a glorious time.
The fourth and newest issue of Uncle Scrooge from Fantagraphics. "The McDuck Journals: The Klondike Years." The cover shows Scrooge marching towards the reader. He is wearing a thick brown coat and is carrying supplies in his back, including a sleeping bag and shovel. Behind him are several photographs showing scenes from his life.
Sometimes I just wanna read an Uncle Scrooge comic.
Love him in Ministry of Fear. (Love him in everything, really.)
It's truly beautiful and the sky is crystal clear after we have rain in SoCal. Great time to get outdoors.
A fabulous story of family and finding your voice. Of grief and finding that you can still live and be happy. Of being okay with being sad. Creepy. Emotional.
Beautiful.

Time to celebrate in our household! So happy for my talented wife, whose story "Sibling Rivalry" was selected for Best Microfiction 2026. Can't wait to read the collection.

Write the book you would like to see someone pull from a higgledy piggledy pile in a secondhand shop 63 years after your death and say, "This looks fucking weird. I think I will buy it for Joan."
