A panel drawn in the style of The Far Side: a bear looks down at a caveman wearing a bear pelt who says "Well, one of us is gonna have to change."
With apologies to Mr Larson

As I suspected, I can't reproduce the Eugene panel by inverting the Cow Tools colors๐ฟ. But they do have similar compositions, so I mashed them up with the Barbara Streisand movie poster. I've never even seen this movie... #digitalart #comic #photoedit #musicals #garylarson #cowtools #collage
#3: cow sounds by cowsounds
I love @cowsounds.bsky.social's music!!! it's so squelchy and tactile and emotionally ambiguous yet piquant

A digitally drawn homage to the George Herriman comic strip Krazy Kat. Starting left of frame we see yellow Ignatz Mouse having just thrown a brick which is sailing across the center of the frame and in another instant will bash the oblivious Krazy Kat (a blue bipedal cartoon cat wearing a red scarf) in the back of the head as he walks innocently to the right. Everything is drawn in rough black pen and colored in pale washes. A speech bubble from Ignatz reads โMaybe it willโฆโ, the word โHappenโ appears in the whooshing trail of the sailing brick, and a final speech bubble belonging to the Kat reads โโฆTodayโ.
look what they've done to my boy
On a clear day, Eugene rose and looked around him and, regrettably, saw who he was.

yes I think that is Eugene in the window. and the shirtsleeve above him is immaterial to the joke. it's just, well, window dressing
it's the inverse cow tools. cow tools was ahead of its time and appreciation for it has only grown, while this comic probably hit when it was published but gets increasingly hard to scrute as the song it's referencing fades from the zeitgeist
screenshot of the lyrics to On a Clear Day (You Can See Forever) as performed by Barbara Streisand in the 1970 film: [DAISY] On a clear day Rise and look around you And you'll see who you are
it's a reference to the song "On a Clear Day (You Can See Forever)" from a musical of the same name.
Here, it's a dig at Eugene who apparently would have rather not seen who he is.
my favorite podcast talked cow tools this week, so I made this little clip. it's fun to hear people newly exposed to cow tools processing it in real time
Jon Arbuckle is bending over to put a lump-with-handle cow tool in the oven, while looking back slyly at a confused Garfield and saying, "why do they call it cow tools when you cow in the lump handle of out hot eat the prongler"
day 221 of making a cow tools every day unless i don't
Cartoon titled "know the work rules". The first panel, labeled "appropriate" depicts Garfield the cat in a business suit leaning around the edge of a cubicle and pointing to a woman at her desk while saying, "coffee lasagna Mondays am I right?" to which the woman responds, hands clasped together, "awww you're so funny" The second panel, labeled "inappropriate", depicts a far side cow leaning around the edge of the same cubicle and speaking with a word bubble which contains only the shapes of the 4 cow tools. The woman fearfully picks up the Phone and says, "hello , complaint department??!"

the orville bumped me when they put out an episode all about "court of public opinion run amok" in the wake of MeToo. the episode also had a scene about how people concerned about cultural appropriation are sooooooo annoying. it's your conservative uncle's star trek
they are trying to lean into the viral moment and spin the bad publicity because all that matters is engagement. and product.
thank you josie ๐ค๐ฎ
