From the "We'll believe it when we see it" files.
Fitting that it was someone in Saniya Rivers' family that came up with the idea, though.

If Andy Slater's information is accurate, James Pearce Jr. stalked Rickea Jackson from his car, tried to enter her vehicle, and as she fled to report the incident, he rammed her car which is when the police gave chase. In the ensuing chaos, he reportedly struck an officer.

You'd think this would actually help the negotiations, a four-time All-Star having to play in Czechia in the off-season to make a decent salary and then getting hurt in 2026.

If someone did this for me I would cry my eyes out #WNBA #Unrivaled

No idea what WNBA 2026 is going to look like (if there's one at all) or how many games the Sun will win, but they're going to be entertaining, dammit.
Paige Bueckers (Dallas Wings, Breeze FC) is donating $50,000 to relief efforts organised in response to ICE raids in her hometown of Hopkins, Minnesota. On Monday Bueckers won $50,000 in the #Unrivaled free throw competition after successfully scoring 13 free throws. (Source @brwsports)
Connecticut Sun 2026 Schedule Release commercial. See anyone you know? πππ

Want to address the WNBA schedule release because I see a few questions in my mentions.
Since CBA negotiations are in βstatus quoβ, it means the working conditions in the current CBA are unchanged.
So, essentially the schedule release is part of those working conditions/business as usual.

We have a 2026 schedule!
One game in Boston and two in Hartford? Does Hartford have a chance to get the Sun after all? Can I talk myself into that before my heart gets crushed?
A Marina Mabrey three gives the Lunar Owls their much needed first win
Nice to see Aaliyah wasn't seriously injured
Needed a laugh tonight, Marina, thanks.
Surprised Saniya Rivers didn't come running out of the stands.
Appreciate Hartford's mayor for calling out the WNBA's bullshit. #WNBA
From Napheesa Collierβs Instagram:
βI am heartbroken to share that I will miss this Unrivaled season β¦ I will continue to work relentlessly with the rest of the players and our staff to push our sport forward and raise the bar for women's basketball.β
The WNBA projects a recent proposal from the WNBPA, which would give players ~30% of gross revenue & is believed to feature a ~$10.5 million salary cap, would result in $700 million in losses over the course of the deal.
The union believes that projection is "absolutely false."
Rockets owners expand talks to buy, move Sun
Terrifying headline if you donβt realize they are sports teams.
Selling the team to a Trump ambassador is no bueno indeed, but probably expected.
The only thing I'd argue with for the Sun: Do they protect Olivia Nelson-Ododa and dare someone to take Marina Mabrey off their hands? #WNBA
BREAKING: The WNBA has proposed cutting team housing in addition to an earlier start date, according to multiple sources.
The start date for training camp could be as early as mid-March, sources indicated, which would come with serious implications.

We didn't give away the No. 1 pick. Hurray.
Saniya Rivers was here signing autographs earlier today, had some interesting company, but I'm sure Saniya had no trouble fitting in. #WNBA
Sun season tickets 2026
Going to guess these are slightly cheaper than at the Barclays Center, but from what I've heard, sales are pretty good.
Mohegan Sun Arena
Hey, look where I ended up today (alas, covering a men's college tournament):
The stage is set for the WNBA Draft Lottery 2026 π°β¨
Tune in to ESPN on Sunday, Nov. 23 at 6:30pm/ET to see who will secure the No. 1 overall pick between the Dallas Wings, Minnesota Lynx, Seattle Storm, Washington Mystics, and Chicago Sky!
Ironically, saw Sun PBP announcer Brendan Glasheen doing Villanova men for TruTV tonight
Seems like a good country for a women's sports league to partner with:
Connecticut Sun tribal meetings
Sun moving is I'm sure inevitable, but I will miss stuff like this:
