I've this 20 years old slide by Jeff Dean making a point that "fault tolerant software is inevitable" - feels so strange there is still so much resistance today to this extremely simple principle.
There likely isn’t a binary answer on what caused what, though. What is certain is that every generation which gets bombed will perpetuate the hatred. US and Israel basically just signed up for another 80 years of Iran hating the west (or some parts thereof).
