Got nostalgic and bought E her old friend the twilight turtle for her 21st bday, among other gifts It’s a stuffed turtle that has stars projecting out of its shell. She adored it as a child until he finally broke by being dropped one too many times. She was thrilled and just sent me this pic.

So when I got home, instead of sinking into my usual sadness, I made plans to join a friend at a social event on Thursday where I will know no one but her and will be anxious AF and also asked a guy mutual friend if he wants to do drinks this week. He said yes. Onward.

Today I went put for brunch w my ex and my daughter to celebrate her birthday. And it was pleasant but still painful for me, bc I still love him. But also love my girl and want to make her happy.

I am currently tearing up watching the Dinosaurs doc on hbo and being sad at the end of their world. While Kristi Noem shoots puppies in the head.

I took tomorrow off bc we had to spring forward again. I know, longer nights, blah blah blah. I like it too. But having to get up for work in pitch black dark will never stop pissing me off. I need at least two days to adjust. Thus, vacation day.

My algebra teacher in public school was nice NYT the chemistry teacher regularly threw erasers at our heads and early missed. Ah, the 80s.

One good thing about JP is you only go for one day. If you’re not put on a jury that day, you’re done for three years.
