First play of Seljuk, finished first year of the campaign with the Turks winning enough loot to keep leader Alp Arslan unchallenged. Meanwhile Romanos IV Diogenes secured his border with Syria.

Pretty sure that they were afraid, since they were retreating from a bunker under assault in this footage. Unauthorized History of the Pacific War on YT did a nice breakdown of this footage.
Thanks but I think I will focus on other games, I’ve given this one enough tries.
I’m not great but I’ve been playing pretty savvy opponents and we usually switch sides so yes half my plays are as brits including the last one. Also saw that both plays at the recent GMT weekend were lopsided French wins.
Another French victory in Imperial Struggle, making them 14-0 in plays by me (against 4 different players) and my opponent today ( against several others). I sense a slight balance issue. There’s a very strong “rich getting richer” tendency.
No joy.
Well at least she has a decent hijab.
Finally getting A Sheer Butchery from the sorely missed Battles Magazine #13 to the table. Will the French and Piedmontese catch the Austrian’s sleeping at Solferino? A lot of game packed into 8pgs of rules. Counters very nice but thin, map good, solos well with chit pull activation.
French advance into Lorraine is starting to meet strong resistance east of Metz, and seems unlikely to make it over the Rhine. But if they can hold most of the ground taken it will be a clear victory. 1914 Nach Paris - it’s magically delicious 😉
One map correction.
Belgians in Liege snuffed out by German Pioneers and siege artillery. Scenario 2 of 1914 Nach Paris from VUCA gives you plenty of practice in the rules for barrages and assaults on fortifications. Assault rules clarifed in the example of play in scenario book and BGG. #wargames
210th anniversary sees Napoleon change history with a decisive victory over Wellington. French quickly seized Papelotte, then La Haye Sainte (committing some Old Guard), and delivering the coup de grace at Hougoumont. Very enjoyable 6 player CC:N Epic game from @gmtgames.bsky.social #wargames
Boxing with the designer is just the format change Ardy needs to beat the competition in the ratings 🙂
I do a half turn after getting home from work. Bit more on the weekend. Glad to hear you have an opponent. I have played this one more solo than opposed.
“Eindhoven … shit, I’m still only in Eindhoven.” — Anonymous Irish Guards captain heard at sunset on day 2 of Market Garden. At least the airborne continue to hold an uninterrupted highway all the way through Nijmegen.
Next exit Eindhoven! Guards Armored Division rolls forward through nightfall of 17 September in @gmtgames.bsky.social Holland ‘44. Market also going well as Airborne have scored trifecta of Son, Veghel and Grave bridges intact. A favorite among hex n counter #wargames
High water mark of the Wehrmacht reached in December ‘41, seems close to historical results. First play of AE:TK Fire in the East as a warm up for a campaign. #wargames
Romans invite the People’s Front of Judea to meet the pointy end of their gladii to mark 70 AD Palm Sunday in Jerusalem. Enjoyed a first play of Storm Over Jerusalem by @multimanpublishing.bsky.social
🏆 To celebrate the arrival of my "Littoral Commander: Baltics" #wargame, I am going to give away a signed copy of the game. Like, repost, and follow by April 8 (midnight EST)! May the odds be ever in your favor. 😉🎲 #wargaming
Soloing the Forward Defense scenario from Air & Armor, as two Soviet Motor Rifle Divisions try to punch holes through US 3rd ID. Pact needs to use artillery and electronic warfare advantages while US can use more flexible command and control to shore up threatened positions. #wargaming
