Hi Bill!
I loved dealing with David Barker and suspect I fared better then than I would with 33 1/3 now. I was on a very short tenure clock and needed to publish something quickly. The very notion of owing my tenure to the MC5 is an absurdity I embrace. This was also my first book.

I loved that book. It's rarely as easy a process or decision as some might make it--especially if the art is truly great. I think less now of both McCarthy and Alice Munro than I once did, but not of their writing.
The political coverage of Trump hasn't been nearly as bad as the "normalizations" of Joe and Mika and Bezos. I'm keeping a list, checking it twice.
Yet another album about staring into the abyss of mortality. Make it a double!
