Yeah, I was outside yesterday. And as I don't walk there every day, the numbers of run-over animals are much higher.
And the dove that was laying by the road up to the grocery store, how that happened? Because this little stretch between another roundabout and the store parking lot is very busy with pedestrians and also ultra short. And don't let me start about poor hedgehogs. Driving schools lack lessons.
I can't patrol there all day every day and I am sad that people aren't better. We dragged them home, then kicked them out and spread lies so it's probably easy to freely murder them. Darn stupid, plain evil.
Just once I was able to take a pidge with horrendous injury, who was still alive and handed him to the rescue. Otherwise they are gone, a pair, three more the next, another one just by the roundabout and he could be alive for some time by the position I found him. And that's just a few recent walks!
People are hitting pidges on that specific roundabout on purpose and I hope that Karma will find these disgusting individuals, rather sooner than later. It's the town's main crossroad, where you are supposed to be carefully driving, but it's also a very abused space. Sickos.

Tasty, sweet and spongy banana and vanilla cake. And it disappears rather quickly. Here is only a half of it in a glass baking tray, propped on a big cork coaster. A hand holds a small cake cube and another cut out cube lays in the tray by the remaining food.

An introverted sparrow is chickadeeing (behaves like chickadees) on the feeders and branches. He hops and meanders between two wooden feeders, the branches and twigs, cleaning his beak, pecking here and there, spooking chickadees away. #sparrow
Dove is peacefully eating, while blue tit sends a message down there, like a little cat on a shelf with fragile things. #pigeonSky

Thank you. I am glad it's alive 😅. Just a bunch of outdoor plants plus three tiny ones from home. Very relaxing to build, recommend 😁.
Ferns, plantain, succulents and yarrow, plus a lot more foliage, including mosses on a drift wood in the pond are alive, lush green and keep going. All set in a cylindrical planter of brown colour with a blue oceanic planter in the middle for swampy bits, that survived the previous version in a cement mixing bin. It's very relaxing to observe plants.

Same settings, but the bird is a blue tit being round. Roosting boxes are on the wall behind her, a small bird box is attached to the stem on the right side, next to the chickadee.
