One of these organizations is on an @splcenter.org list of hate groups
www.splcenter.org/resources/ex...
At least one other is known to openly support conversion therapy - a form of torture,
another is an group claiming to represent represent “LGB” people, nothing to do with trans healthcare…

Screenshot of text that reads, "In order to do this you will need to face up to the inadequacy of current practice, which is based on gender-identity ideology, and which is not in line with data-protection principles. This requires some bravery, as Baroness Kishwer Falkner, Baroness Hilary Cass and Secretary of State Wes Streeting MP will tell you."
From the SM Letter to the Minister of State for Science, Research and Innovation, which is publicly available.
Calling for 'some bravery' from the Minister, like Falkner, Cass, and Streeting have shown.

Have you submitted an FOI regarding the EHRC? We would like to know. Please get in touch or send us a copy of the response at mpfoi@tacc.org.uk. ❤️

Please remember that every word spoken at the EHRC is subject to disclosure and may be examined by the courts. Moreover, I am not aware of any novel point of law emerging that would demolish my argument regarding the in personam nature of contraventions and exceptions under the Equality Act 2010.

Today, we’ve formally informed the EHRC that we no longer recognise it as a national human rights institution. This was not a decision taken lightly. But there can be no accountability without action. We urge other organisations to consider their stance and speak out.

Parliament surrenders to anti-trans activists on toilet policy
The UK parliament has thrown trans people under the bus on toilets, abandoning its own policy to placate activists who accosted a trans barrister on the parliamentary estate.
Sometimes I post pieces which are recent and which others may not have seen. This is a reminder why groups like GLP, Trans Exile Network, TACC, TLC and so many lovely allies stand up to GCIM ideology and why the UK is literally red flagged for genocide right now.

Before all the transphobes gets on their high horse about this, every Labour policy about trans people constitutes violence or proxy-violence against trans people’s bodies.
And all Labour’s transphobic policies have been implemented completely undemocratically, without even any votes in parliament.

If your organisation no longer recognises the EHRC as a national human rights institution, we’ve prepared an email template you can adapt.
It can be sent to public bodies like the WEC, the JCHR, and relevant ministers to raise formal concerns about the EHRC’s loss of independence and credibility.

Asking Corbyn and Sultana to reaffirm their commitment to protecting trans people is normal and if you whine about it youre asking people to support a party whose position is unclear, and that makes you look weird.
I support what I know, not what I think, not what I imagine.

We must challenge the mechanisms of our oppression not fuel them.
Providing any weight behind the EHRC strengthens the indefensible and irrefutable abuse of their accreditation, a status we need to dismantle.
I sincerely hope other orgs take the same position as us at TACC.

Every LGBTQ+ and Trans org needs to issue a statement and refuse to work with the EHRC and UK Gov from this point on.

Government confirms Dr Mary-Ann Stephenson as the next EHRC chair
Minister for Women and Equalities Bridget Phillipson has confirmed that Dr Mary-Ann Stephenson will be appointed as the new Chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC).
@commonswec.parliament.uk and JHRC have been ignored to fuel the erasure of trans folk. This was no surprise from @bphillipsonmp.bsky.social who is the equality minister, who serves only a minority of transphobes, with total disregard for anyone else.

Breaking: EHRC select committee have opposed the appointment of Mary-Ann Stephenson.
Good outcome, potentially. They can still appoint her anyway... but if they persist in appointing her, it's just more evidence to justify the lemkin institutes warning that trans people are at risk in the UK

Screenshot of a letter titled "Your Freedom of Information Request" addressed to "Dear Trans Advocacy and Complaints Collective". The letter states, "Thank you for your request, detailed below, which we received on 11 June 2025." It includes the quote: "During a recent meeting between the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) and the Women and Equalities Committee, Baroness Kishwer Falkner referred multiple times to an "81% satisfaction rate" in relation to the EHRC's performance or public perception." The letter requests "The full source of the 81% satisfaction rate cited by Baroness Falkner, including: - The title and date of the survey, report, or research from which this figure is drawn. - The commissioning body, if applicable. - The sample size, methodology, and target population of the survey." Contact information is provided: "T: 0161 829 8100 E: foi@equalityhumanrights.com Arndale House, The Arndale Centre Manchester, M4 3AQ equalityhumanrights.com".
Screenshot of a document regarding a Freedom of Information Act request. It lists three points asking for: "The specific question(s) asked that produced this figure," "Any documents, reports, internal communications, or datasets held by the EHRC that provide further detail, breakdowns, or analysis of this satisfaction figure (including demographic data or comparison with previous years, if available)," and "A direct link (if publicly available) or a copy of the original source document(s) or dataset(s)." The document states, "This request is being handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000." The response indicates that the Equality and Human Rights Commission does not hold the requested information. It further clarifies that Baroness Falkner did not refer to an 81% "satisfaction rate" at a meeting, and the figures quoted refer to media sentiment analysis, with additional information available on the UK Parliament website here.
🧵We sent an FOI to the EHRC about the “81% satisfaction rate” claim. We got a response back.
Which revealed a letter to the Women and Equalities Committee.
What we found goes far beyond a misleading “approval rating.”

One of our members has painstakingly broken the EHRC FOI PDF into individual email threads and letters to make it easier to analyse. We've made this available to the community, because transparency shouldn’t come with barriers, like unusual ordering of emails.
