I am not explaining it for your benefit, but for the benefit of the new models without who might come along and see it and think that PayPal is a great way to get paid when it isn't unless the person paying them can be trusted. Even BelleDelphine got screwed out if her bathwater money this way.
No you shouldn't have to be careful. This I just what it is like and at least on cam sites asking to pay with PayPal and reporting is a common scam where the guy reporting gets his money back and the model gets screwed. Some sites like MFC has charge back protection so models get some protection.
Sex workers should be careful though when asking for tips via platforms like PayPal and Cashapp because if they get reported not only will their account be suspended but their money they have there will be gone. It has happened to a number of cam models that I know. PayPal will steal all the cash.
