when I first joined instagram I’d get reels about how dangerous the walmart in my city (majority latino) is and all the comments were about how you’d get stabbed if you went to it. The only dangerous thing I’ve witnessed was a guy taking a bong hit before taking off from the parking lot lol

If the life he could live comes out at too much of a cost and is less than optimal I think it is not wrong at all to not pursue this. It hurts so so much but it’s better to let him go when he is still somewhat comfortable. I hope your memories with him are forever a blessing!
