Nota: mi epilepsia está controladísima con fármacos desde la segunda crisis y es perfectamente normal que no esté asociada a nada en concreto, simplemente consideré que si podía hacer algo más gestionando el estrés, lo iba a intentar. Pero igual no se me está dando del todo bien.

En su día me recetaron ansiolíticos… pero claro, tuve que dejarlos con el embarazo y cada vez que voy al de cabecera temo que me diga (como la última vez) que si no me renta más dejar la lactancia para tomar ansiolíticos y seguir funcionando 🥲
Pero el caso es que mi epilepsia apareció de la nada cuando tenía 27 años y después de no encontrar un origen lógico se la achacaron al estrés también. Empecé a ir a terapia después de mi segunda crisis y ahí sigo 6 años después y por mi cuenta porque de eso sí que no tenemos en la seguridad social.
La cosa es que la diplopía aparece como efecto secundario del medicamento que tomo para la epilepsia pero lo han descartado. También enfermedades graves y daños en el ojo o el nervio óptico. Ya digo, muchas pruebas… no nos podemos quejar de seguridad social.
Acabé dándole suplemento de fórmula, los médicos nos obsesionaban con pesar al bebé a diario y tuve que pedir asesoramiento privado para no perder la lactancia materna. Nos fue genial, pude darle lactancia materna exclusiva y sigue tomando a día de hoy.
Al principio tuvimos problemillas con el establecimiento de la lactancia y lo pasé francamente mal. En mi cabeza era el momento soñado y la realidad fue que el bebé perdió peso durante más tiempo de lo “esperable”, sentí mucho miedo y culpa. Y estrés, claro.
