Tomorrow is Bandcamp Friday and as I've missed the last 2 I thought I'd catch this one. Black Lake is the third and final single taken from the forthcoming album The Old Works (available to individually preorder on 22nd March). Is it a song without a chorus or a song without a verse? I'm not sure.

I remember that now… I did have one track where it ended up sounding far too much like ‘Mexican Bandits’, which is a lot less intricate than ‘Red Indians’, so I had to scrap it. But very obviously a major influence.

I haven’t (yet) done this, but I have had a few experiences where stuff I thought I had excised from a track was actually still there and it ended up sounding the better for it. And weird buzzes and hums that I originally thought would have to be cut but in the end added to the overall thing…
