They could, but politival parties will just end up like football clubs and find ways to bend the rules, it's hardly like they are severely punished for breaking the ones they have.

Nottinghamshire's previous council had looked at the JCB machines and decided they wouldn't offer value for money and wouldn't work on a lot of the county's roads.

Sir Keir Starmer has announced that flights are on their way to pick up ex-pats living in Dubai.
Upon arrival back at Heathrow, they will be met by members of HM Revenue and Customs who'd like a quick word.

Lots of our front pages calling out the name-calling of the UK Prime Minister by a convicted felon for..
Oh, they're on HIS side?

The same newspapers who have been so supportive of the last Labour PM to do exactly the same thing? Surely not.

PM of country that lambasted a former PM for rushing into an illegal war alongside the US, not in a rush to join US in war shocker.

"You can't change the world
But you can change the facts
And when you change the facts
You change points of view
If you change points of view
You may change a vote
And when you change a vote
You may change the world"

We'll have "family voting" outcries now at every vote the right-wing doesn't win from people who have no idea what it means.
It's Woke 2.0!

Question, how many people had heard the phrase "family voting" before Thursday other than in the context of "Why the hell are believe family voting for Trump"?
Farage et al sounding exactly like they said Remainers were sounding after the Brexit vote.

While we're at it, can any political party upset they didn't win a democratic vote be treated with the same distain as remain voters were in 2016 and be told to accept the result.

While the media are jumping on a crusade to stop "family voting", a phrase only a handful of people had heard of before Thursday, can they also look into "Russian Influence" in UK elections as well?

So with 5 Green MPs and 8 Reform MPS now sat in the House of Commons, Question Time will be....

It's not even worth asking is it?

I'm not sure the PM will be doing a "U-turn" on student loans if he's reversing a policy her party bought in.

Speaking after his first election win, he lists who he'll help (including veterans after spotting a few in the audience), finishes his speech, turns to leave and spots Mike Pence who's been on stage with him, turns back to the mic "and Mike Pence, my VP". First time he'd mentioned him in the speech.

There is a brilliant line written today by Nomia Iqbal on the BBC website:
"If Barack Obama shattered the glass ceiling when he became America’s first black president, Jesse Jackson created the cracks."
He was a compelling voice you felt you had to listen to.

There's a system being trialled locally when you scan your bank card at your starting and ending station (like on the underground). Hopefully they won't use this to replace advanced tickets and remove the split ticket option - but they probably will.
Split tickets can help on the day too.

A few points:
- All three options involved advanced tickets, not pay on the day.
- The journey requires 3 trains in each direction. Two local trains (10-15 mins on each) at each end and 5 hours on a cross country train.
- The split ticket option was 14 different tickets. 7 in each direction.

We're planning a long journey across the UK later in the year. Among the options was one that left around 10:00 that arrived around 18:00 costing about Β£250. Another option, leaving at 10:40 and arriving at the same time was Β£170.
Split tickets gave us option 2 for Β£70.

Other than Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, how many other UK nationals in prominent positions have been named in the Epstein files? How many of those are behind the media storm around the Prime Minister and Mandelson?
There seems to be a lot of distraction going on.

I'm not looking to be registered as disabled. I'm not disabled as I can work get around and live an ordinary life. I just can't tell who you are when you shout at me from across the road.
Is just like a little bit of help having to use public transport when unable to get around any other way.

Back from my first hospital eyesight check since I was 9 (have had regular optician appointments).
My eyesight is bad enough that I can't drive - have known that since I was 5 - but isn't deteriorating.
My eyesight isn't bad enough for me to be registered as partially sighted to get cheaper travel.
