Maybe you aren’t understanding. If you watch 1-3 first, then by the end of 5, there’s no shock. You know vader is Luke’s father. But if you watch 4-5 (entirely) and then the prequels, you don’t ruin the reveal to a first time watcher. Literally the same thing he said
