This story is wild. As far as I can tell from the body camera clips I watched, the footage shows MPD special operations strategizing their forcible entry into private property without a warrant, based on the say-so of a political appointee with nothing more than a stack of print outs.

Oh yeah. The number of folders in my “Current Writing” folder is crazy. And many are some I downloaded a bunch of articles to look at and then haven’t done anything with.

I’m in the middle of trying two write three articles and two books, so I sympathize.

For one, it fails to note that ChatGPT can make shit up wholesale. Second, that applies to factual claims. It doesn’t disclose that the AI is programmed with a high level of sychophancy. And it’s not clear it applies to non-factual statements.

I guess I disagree that that is enough of a warning.

Well that’s the question isn’t it? DO AI companies regularly publish that their products make mistakes all the time? Because that has not been my experience. It’s why I think a “failure to warn” theory could be viable.
