The City Nature Challenge 2025 was i big success!
The data was of course made available to the local nature conservation authority. this was also the main motivation behind the confirmation of the population.
I know their work, and they've already taken my (few) data into account. But this find was in Salzburg, north of the city. :)
Together with @gabsameisen.bsky.social et al., i was able to officially confirm a historically known location of #Carabus nodulosus at the beginning of march. Truly one of the most impressive and beautiful beetle species of the northern alpine foothills! #FFH #natureconservation
