Again just a small suggestion though since I feel like this camera might be pretty limiting in terms of environment design and enemy placement. Overall this looks like it plays really well! Excited to see more of this.
Looks really nice! If you're open to feedback here's some things I'd potentially suggest for game-feel:
Perhaps make the camera slightly higher and angle it down a bit? Right now the floor takes up almost 50% of the frame and it seems like the player can get lost behind objects.
I don't know why but I love the a-posing sprite floating through the levels haha.

Honestly depending on what you're going for sprite stacking like this is actually better than voxels. You can have more rounded pieces on the guns instead of it all being cubular

GameJam tips:
Always make a settings screen with at least audio options in it. It takes extra time, but it's worth it. Most jams let you use assets you own, so if needed, make a reusable settings prefab to use between projects.
(Sincerely someone who's been blasted by audio before)

Thanks! The page still needs to be updated with all of the new screenshots and a proper trailer. But we're hoping for a March-April release since the scope is pretty small and we've been moving pretty well along with it!

Yeah, before I was really trying to go for semi-real looking graphics in Godot but realized I, for one, didn't have the skills to make models or assets for it, and two, didn't have the dev time to optimize for that.
So, the new goal was giving it a slightly pre-rendered look.

Functionally this is just a micro state machine within the camera itself, but it makes it more interesting than a static decorative object in the scene, and also allows for dynamic state changing mid-game using items, as shown in the video.
Some dev-commentary on this account to go along with the teaser! These cameras were surprisingly complicated to get working like I wanted.
There's an idle viewing mode, a 'look at the player' viewing mode, and an alert mode. In the end I think it came together nicely!
