This is less a critique on the value or anything, just how wildly quick the passage of time is in regards to how long generations last these days too

Nintendo pricing is crazy because there are about to be adults now entering college who were like 11 when this game came out lmao. College freshmen being like "yeah i was in 4th grade when Mario Odyssey dropped. Its 40 bucks sometimes!"
Seeing this after playing the Jill campaign was so fucking funny
If ya ever wanted to watch me ramble nonsense for almost 2 hours while playing some simpsons games for the first time, new exclusive video is on Patreon. Gonna be doing more laid back, off the cuff, bts vids like that on there in between main videos. Only costs $1, less than sweet tea from macdonald
The OG currently. REmake was part of two of the attempts that i bailed lol. I will prob revisit it after I beat the OG trilogy
Every time I have tried to play this game its been during a time I have been sick and I end up getting so overwhelmed from the gameplay loop I eventually drop it lol. Or I take too long of a break and lose all my bearings
Started playing Resident Evil 1
I am still holding onto a fraction of hope that they eventually release some sort of new handheld with some actual hardware inside it. I imagine sony would never split their ecosystem ever again so it would probably be a Portal that can natively run some games but require streaming for others
Did the streaming to my PC and phone a few times before finding a deal on a portal, and honestly not really. I did find the experience a tad more consistent on the Portal though, form factor just makes a huge difference. You also can do the PS Plus streaming on portal + pc but not mobile I believe
You gotta make sure you go to the network settings on your PS5 and select the 5ghz setting as your "wifi frequency band." Otherwise it will automatically be set to 2.4ghz which even in my home right next to each other was borderline unplayable. Changing that one setting made it 1080p and very smooth
It is kinda funny theres just a little hidden wifi setting on PS5 that turns the Portal from unplayable dogshit that probably pushed most people to return/sell this thing to a legitimate great way to play PS5 games portably while laying on your belly like a swine
Finally got a Playstation Portal and it rocks. Being able to play a handheld while recording high quality footage without needing to be tethered to a PC or capture card is legit a game changer and what ive always wanted. Tunic is also fucking amazing. Imagining a world where this came to 3DS
Its about what it tends to go for these days. I would say if u trust em, def go for it. Its one of those early-ish licensed games for 360/PS3 that didnt seem to get a lot of copies printed and never got a "Platinum Hits" reprint. Also difficult to find in good condition these days
NEW VIDEO is up. Every version of The Simpsons Game reviewed
I have now learned there is a thing called Subway Cafe, what the fuck lol
Getting real Majoras Mask side quest vibes from the Quiznos by me that is located in a dead plaza and only open for 5 hours a day, weekdays only.
Morbidly curious to try it but also deathly afraid it will give me instant food poisoning
Switch 2 would legitimately become my most played console overnight if it actually had decent built in capture settings in handheld mode. Might get a Playstation Portal just for that alone lol
Been addicted to this crap for close to 2+ years now
Cant believe datpiff died before i could drop my tape ๐
2017 does not really feel all that long ago to me whatsoever. So I am wondering, is this what 2007 felt like in 2016 for people a decade older than me?
Ocarina of Time appealing to the horse girl demographic ended up paying dividends later on when capturing the emo girl that wore a tail to high school audience
Ocarina of Time really is that game. The finale and credit sequence always hit so hard
Totally forgot about the Rumble Pak until this part and dug mine out and its actually crazy how my monkey brain is so hardwired to love controller vibration. Its such a small thing that goes a long way in enhancing the experience. Most games just aint the same without it
Out of morbid curiosity ended up seeing this one in 3D and holy shit, this one is so fucking good lmao. Managed to avoid what lil marketing there was. If it were 2011, it would have been billed as Send Help 3D. The Raimisms are so fun, they even got the Green Goblin "oh"
Thinking about this puts into perspective why whenever I would comment on videos about Ocarina of Time back in the day saying "im 12 and playing OOT right now for the first time :)" would always illicit a flood of replies from people freaking out about how old and decrepit that made them feel lmao
Aside from my current playthrough, I have only played Ocarina of Time in entirety twice in my life- first at age 12, and then right as I was about to turn 18. I probably realized it during that last playthrough and have since forgotten but damn that REALLY couldn't be any more apt for this game
I do feel like in an attempt to make this one seem more expansive and action packed they lost quite a bit of the soul from the first game. . World and dungeons dont have the same gratifying design not being top down. Still good but almost feels like what if TLOZ was made by Konami or another dev
Really never thought I would ever beat this game lol. Always seemed like one of those extra nebulous "ill play it one day" games. Honestly the RPG elements and the side scrolling combat were neat. Something very alluring about it being hard as sin but still very much approachable.
Nah after what I had to endure to get here, Link and Zelda better NEVER be just friends
