AFL-CIO AMERICA'S UNIONS MARCH 6, 2026 As the attacks by the U.S. and Israel on Iran expand and escalate conflict across the region, the AFL-CIO calls for: • An end to the conflict, de-escalation by all parties and a commitment to peace, the safety for workers and our service men and women currently on the frontlines of the conflict; • Strict respect for international law, the United Nations Charter and the US Constitution that call for the people's voice through Congress in any war authorization, including through the War Powers Resolution; • A renewed commitment to nuclear disarmament and global dialogue to ensure sustained security and economic stability in the region and around the world; and • Full respect for freedom of association, freedom of expression and democratic rights for all workers across the region, including US federal workers.
The attacks on Iran have resulted in a conflict affecting people's lives across the region. War puts civilians, troops and union members in immediate danger and harms global economic security.

Kristi Noem has done a stunning amount of damage and it’s good she’s gone.
But this doesn’t change the fact that we need a complete overhaul of DHS, impartial investigations into the killings of two American citizens, and information on children that were taken from Minnesota.
