When it was announced, I thought it felt like a placeholder like Countdown and Convergence before it. Just inconsequential fluff to keep things moving forward until they are ready to move to the next thing on the production schedule.

Additionally, the first stretch of Superman triangle-era comics were running on full cylinders.
The Power Pack issues just flew under my radar until very recently.
