A close up photograph of a single snowdrop flower that is in the foreground. It is a double variety that resembles a pom-pom when looking inside. The image shows the multi-layered white petals with green-tipped, inner markings. The background is blurry with a bokeh style background as light reflects on the wet foliage and one other snowdrop flower just opening behind it.

A late one for #WildflowerHour A joy to see Snowdrops starting to bloom; this pretty double variety caught my eye on a road side verge last week. A great high-energy source of nectar and pollen for early emerging pollinators! 🐝 📷 🌿
