I just stopped watching all together like 2 seasons ago lol
Reading Rainbow emphasis is encouraging kids to read. The focus is not on teaching them to read. The mission is reading should be fun!
We are all readers, worthy of literacy. LeVar Burton said βbut you donβt have to take my word for itβ because he wanted us to look to the books. Thatβs the beauty π
New look at Trevor Jackson in βGrey's Anatomyβ Season 22.
Jackson plays Dr. Wes Bryant.
New poster for βHIMβ, produced by Jordan Peele and directed by Justin Tipping.
In theaters in one month.
It just sits right with my spirit that Olandria outlived Taylor in that villa π₯° #loveislandusa
Glynn Turman has received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Don Cheadle and Ava DuVernay are standing alongside him during this monumental moment.
Mara Brock Akilβs Black coming-of-age series, βForeverβ is now streaming on Netflix.
The series stars Lovie Simone, Michael Cooper Jr., Karen Pittman, Wood Harris, Xosha Roquemore, Marvin Winans III, and Niles Fitch.
Sinners dropping just 6% in its second weekend merits a much bigger headline than its $48 million opening. It is actual box-office news--news as in "This never happens." Just a giant thing, for Ryan Coogler and for the future of original material.

Happy 79th Birthday to the legendary, Al Green ππ₯³π
Some women do just want to be house wives though. Sheβs representing someone lol
You are so right and honestly with all the other stuff going on, I kinda forgot about her dreams and desires. But maybe I just accepted that dreams and desires can change, and she had the opportunity to do whatever she wanted. I guess thatβs what mattered most.
β Iβm sure it was very relatable. It just pissed me off
β povs that I felt like couldβve waited and been included as a part of Capriβs story. I get that she was trying to build up the Inferno Gods and prep for Capri but it just made it too long imo. I also didnβt like how everything went down with Capriβs relationships before her books but for some ppl β
βAnd so was his wifeβ just tickled me a bit π€. I like Alaia but sheβs def no Erin or Capri. Thatβs honestly okay though because I feel like her energy/vibe was def what Capp needed and vice versa. Tbh I think the Ace plot lasted too long and there was too much stuff about other characters and some β
#32-36 Cappadonna 1, 2, 2.5, 3 & 3.5 by Jahquel J.
This season of the series dragged a bit for me once I got to book 3. It didnβt lack anything but there was too much of certain things that I feel lowered the quality of the reading experience for me. Love all the mains & enjoyed the action

#31 Our Vicious Oaths by N. E. Davenport
Read an arc. Romantasy. Very grown. Very spicy. Super intense. I enjoyed the overall story and devoured it. Canβt wait to buy a copy

#30 To Be Loved by K. Lashaun
This actually took me a while to get into. Idk if I just didnβt like the pacing of how it started or what, but once I really got into it, I enjoyed the story. The only thing that I can say that bothered me a bit was some repetitive statements in the beginning

#29 Love Spells Trouble by Nia Davenport
I read an arc copy. This story was super cute. I just enjoyed it so much. I felt good while reading and when I was done too. Definitely was refreshing and a reprieve from the intensity of a few of my prior reads this month π₯°

#26-28 Capone I, II & III by Jahquel J
I thoroughly enjoyed this season of the series. Jahquel knows how to keep us on our toes. My only issue was the repetitiveness in some of the writing. It might not bother others but as a former English major, it was distracting at times

#25 Mega Man by Mel Dau
Ik some people like InstaLove and quick romances. Iβm not even opposed to those tropes if done right, but this was so unrealistic lol. And it was so quick and it felt rushed. Itβs for somebody but just not for me.

#24 Losing Sight by Tati Richardson
This was really cute. Definitely had its funny moments. I loved the dynamics between the love interest and their friends and family. Some of the language used during some spicy moments made me cringe but thatβs just me lol

#23 Oathbound by Tracy Deonn
I canβt even put all of my thoughts into a short paragraph here. So much to love. Nothing to hate (but the Shadow King & the Regents lol). Beautifully written. So intentional. I probably felt every emotion while reading.

#22 No Ordinary Love (arc) by Myah Ariel
I loved this book. The MMC was so supportive and reassuring. The FMC was THAT GWORL. I enjoyed seeing her really come into herself and accept her worth. Canβt think of anything Iβd change.

Still not over the lack of melanin in this cast lol
Me reading the final 10 chapters of #Oathbound
