I was pleased to stumble upon Snow Buntings on Arenig Fawr summit last winter. I’d only seen them by the coast, or on Scottish hills previously. Maybe a Shorelark this year!

Tanyptera atrata - Giant Sabre Comb Horn Cranefly, on Whixall Moss. The colouring and ovipositor meant at first glance it looked like some sort of ichneumon.
