I'm enjoying the juggling of ideas, collecting and compiling reading, and the prepping of the LMS courses.

New seminars are always a lot of work, but I get to learn so much. That's the part I love most about this job.

I'm super thrilled to be able to offer two (for me) completely new university courses:

One 2nd year seminar on "British Accents and Dialects" (both at Greifswald and Kiel)

& one advanced seminar on "Received Pronunciation" (deep dive into the very concept, academic discourse, representation, etc)

Wir brauchen das Geld scheinbar für immer weitere Kriege und um eine sterbende fossile Automobilindustrie künstlich am Leben zu halten.

Was wir tun sollten: in Unis investieren, unbefristete Leute auf Vollzeit einstelle , damit wir mehr und besser Lehrkräfte ausbilden können.

Was wir stattdessen tun: Unis müssen Millionen einsparen, weil Budget gekürzt. Stellensperren, Zwangsteilzeit, Sparkurs.
