As the US and Israel attack Iran, we must remember Mahsa Amini. She was beaten to death by Iran’s brutal government morality police. These forces acted at the behest of Supreme Leader Khamenei.
Her death sparked the largest mass protests in Iran since 2009.

Oregon health officials declared a measles outbreak. Wastewater data shows an increase in Clackamas County over the last 3 weeks.
Measles can be fatal, especially in unvaccinated children. The MMR vaccine saves lives from measles.

People are missing appointments and skipping care due to ICE. Healthcare workers have mobilized behind a bill (SB1570) as a result.

Black History Month offers a chance to analyze the multiracial history of our county. George Washington (not that one) settled in Oregon City before leaving to the north due to Oregon's Black Exclusion Laws. Washington founded Centerville, known today as Centralia.
