tired of being on the most heartbreaking cancellation lists, would like to move on to 'best shows that were brought back after being canceled' lists

and I might sound like a luddite, which I decidedly am not. I'm a CompSci student who is aware of the power and usability of algorithms, and yet the way my co-students rely on genAI without realising its harms is insane!!

I know I'm not the only one who finds the spread of gen AI wildly disturbing. the picture it makes are stuff of nightmares. the artificial sheen on them is so uncanny valley??? how do people even— why—
it devalues humans in so many ways it's insane

can we not appreciate that AI is a point of marketing now? it's an eye cream. an "AI-inspired" eye cream. I hope they didn't use AI to develop the formula, for god's sake

if you think laws restricting transition are just protecting children, if you think hormone therapy doesn’t have enough research to be safe, if you think gender reassignment surgery is too common — you have been lied to and you have swallowed propaganda

yet I feel like I'll never do it, just gonna this life in a somewhat tolerable body, wondering how it could have been and sending prayers to a god I don't believe in so they make me a cis man in my next life.

at this point it feels so obvious that, if I was braver, I'd probably transition. I feel like my whole life, I was supposed to be a man, and every time I see men, I choke on my envy and my feelings of inadequacy.
