Interestingly, #Spinosaurus mirabilis exhibits crest asymmetry in some specimens. It is a reminiscent of the varying degree of casque asymmetry in modern #cassowaries. Learn more here:

This is not a wild Australian #emu, but rather a captive animal from the US. We routinely catch emus for data collection, veterinary checks, and transferring enclosures. Restraining emus in this awkward fashion reduces the chance of being kicked by the bird, but they are still incredibly strong!
