Not just the Charter (Sections 2 and 7-15), but also bypassing the Alberta Bill of Rights that was amended with great fanfare last fall by the Smith government. Plus the Alberta Human Rights Act.

Is Premier Smith and the Alberta government enacting the Notwithstanding Clause as a democratic backstop to a controversial judicial ruling? - No.
Then it is clearly using it to ride roughshod over Albertan's Rights.
The use of the Notwithstanding Clause in this regard is deeply concerning.
