A couple years ago I would have said Finland was a place that would have been safe. I no longer see any rainbows. Unless it is Merimeko a colorful outfit gets openly sneered at. We have a right wing government that golfs with Trump and has been slashing progressive programs left and right.

There was an article writen about that for Sweden. Perhaps they have better statistics. Sadly here we have repeat offenders because judges are very gentle with punishment unless it is a financial crime.

I live in Finland. My echo chamber is Finnish. Finland has the second highest rate of domestic violence in the EU. I never said all is bad. It is strange that Americans put them selves down and other countries on a pedistal. The countries are real. Travel makes one a tourist not smart.

Americans had it pretty good compared to the rest of the world.

Where else is there to go. Finland the "happiest" country also has the second highest rate of domestic violence. Also a 17 year old girl was lured out of a health clinic and raped by 3 grown men in the woods after being dropped off by the amblience and the security gaurd told to watch out for her.
