The government is to publish its social cohesion action plan this afternoon
After police stop another plot to harm Jews, I ask what it will take to tell the truth about antisemitism in the UK and beyond
Clue: If your explanation does not include Islamist racism, left-wing double standards, conservative special pleading and modern fascism you’re not trying hard enough
"The refusal to acknowledge lethal Jew hatred explains why Jewish people are more frightened than at any point in my lifetime." Thank you to @nickcohen.bsky.social for this column. nickcohen.substack.com/p/telling-th...
With Reform UK calling for the return of grammar schools, I’ve shared an excerpt from my first book The Myth of Meritocracy examining the evidence on who actually benefits from selection.
Clue: it isn’t working-class pupils. www.forthedeskdrawer.com/p/the-enduri...
me paying $30 in gas to buy imported things that have been hit with tariffs bc joe rogan is learning about politics at age 58
👀 This was the man who attended the scene of the mid-air collision that Trump falsely blamed on DEI hires among Air Traffic Controllers, even before the debris had been recovered.

I’m just curious if any of the disgusting juvenile delinquents making the ridiculous war glorification videos for the White House ever served in combat. Or even served in the military at all.
A Reform government will display Union flags on everything, right up until we replace them when we become the 51st state of America.
Labour will today set out how UK exporters and importers are expected to benefit from the new Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) agreement with the EU!
Announced last May and negotiated since, it aims to make trade between the EU and UK easier, cheaper and quicker.
It will cut paperwork....

Wow. Straight Out Whoever Voted For Trump are Just as or even more Stupid than Trump. Redeem Yourself in the Midterms. 😡😡🗳️🗳️👏👍🇺🇸😎
All these Iranian monarchists who cheered on the bombing of our country, who got on bended knee for Lindsey Graham and Trump, keep asking me, “What if you’re wrong?” about my opposition to intervention and the disaster it could be.
I keep telling them I would be thrilled to be wrong.
Tarrio is, quite literally, a pardoned terrorist.
I'm sick of these opportunistic weasels playing politics at the expense of our country.
Polanski, once again, refusing to let reality get in the way of coming over as an insufferable prick.
He wouldn't let the US use UK bases for attacking missile launchers and he wouldn't use UK military, so presumably he'd just let drones/missiles target UK citizens and assets without response?
I see Zack Polanski is back to his disingenuous, dishonest point scoring.
I think that Zack will discover that most of the public believe that Starmer's approach is the correct one. Starmer has said the attack is illegal, albeit very diplomatically but he has done so.
Fox had now apologized for this, claiming the use of the archival footage was “inadvertent”.
Quite a moment, even by local standards.
The Epstein story is by no means over for Trump and the White House. Mine for @natashadevon.bsky.social's programme last night on @lbc.co.uk

NEW: Keir Starmer has spoken to Donald Trump for first time since last Saturday - a week in which US has continued military strikes against Iran, and US president has repeatedly insulted the prime minister.
Iran’s people were facing a horrible shortage of water before the war began. If we are destroying desalination plants and setting fire to Teheran we are committing unfathomable crimes.
Of all the complaints against Starmer, the most absurd is that it's "weak" to have a Cabinet that doesn't just rubber-stamp what The Leader wants on questions of war & peace.
I'd take Cabinet govt - in which ministers kick the tyres of big decisions - over the kneel-and-obey model of Farage any day
“Our government is treating the suffering of the Iranian people as a backdrop for our own entertainment … But, in the end, we lose our humanity when we are thrilled by the destructive power of our military. … The longer we remain blind to the terrible consequences of war ...
Hitting desalination plants is so bad. Not just evil but strategically incomprehensible. Without desalination 75% of the entire population of the Middle East will be refugees. Israel and Kuwait depend on desalination for 90% of their water and other Middle East states aren’t far behind.
I'm sure it's just a massive coincidence that they used all the same words, ideas and punctuation.
It really is something to see politicians, commentators and media outlets whose whole identity is based on being so-called ‘patriots’ frothing with excitement as they line up to back a deranged megalomaniac who consistently attempts to belittle and bully the country they claim to love
