And finally the closing song of the album, the title track. Written back in 2018/2019 it is a condemnation of willful ignorance; it is an anthem for the continuous pursuit of knowledge.

Closing in on the end of the album the penultimate track, Approaching Collapse, is a #progressivemetal instrumental entirely in 11/8. It is just as much a mathematical puzzle as it is a musical piece. It was challenging but also satisfying to complete.

Sociopolitical commentary can be done in subtle ways, but sometimes it is necessary to be blunt and take clear sides. Written back in 2019, this song criticizes the modern GOP and things have only gotten worse since then.

Ashes And Regret is the opening track of the debut album. A rather straightforward heavy metal song about how even one mistake can have dramatic effects and change one's life.

July 2022 saw the release of the self-titled album, Into Denial. The first half is rather straight forward melodic metal, the second veers into progressive metal. Multiple songs feature elements of Greek Folk music, but more on that when we look at the individual songs.

While work on the new album is steadily coming along, it will take some more time, so let's take a look back at the debut.
