Have it investigated as illegality.
Bring prosecutions of company officials on illegality.
Describe the basis of each step clearly and without obfuscation or imprecision.
Patrick O’Donovan’s statement here is farcically wrong, grimly idiotic and would be laughable if this were a situation which was capable of ever being a laughing matter.
It should be quoted, cited or just played at him every time he opens his mouth on any matter, for the rest of his career.
This is
1) flat wrong on the facts
2) flat wrong on the law
3) flat wrong on the impulse to shield a company from the consequences of its own actions in offering the creation of CSAM-as-a-service
This is the sort of morally bankrupt statement that should have its speaker be booed off every street
What I should have added in this piece is that even if all of this stopped right now, that doesn't pardon any past offences already committed. Criminal prohibitions of sexual abuse and expolitation are partly aimed at deterrence - and this only works if they are enforced.

Recent Aras elections saw multiple candidates get through process via Oireachtas or local authority support - 1997 had 5 candidates, 2011 had 7 and 2018 had 6. There is no need to change the system because the 2025 motley crew were late to process, poor quality or not serious about running at all.
