June Wrap Up
Hello, thank you for reading another wrap up! Posts have been lacking recently, and Iβm really sorry about that! But hopefully Iβm getting the blogging thing back. Here are the books I enjoyed in June! The Hat of Great Importance by Patrick Ness & Tim Miller I loved the first book inβ¦
The book Locklands by Robert Jackson Bennett in front of a green plant.
My most recent read and my newest plant friend!
The plant was courtesy of my Grandad who very kindly gave it to me, and the book is the third and final book in an amazing fantasy trilogy!
What book did you finish recently?
Iβm on here sporadically but spend wayyyy too long on instagram! www.instagram.com/acascadeofbo...
The book I Am Raven by Alastair Chisholm infront of a bunch of flowers.
My recent read! π
I really enjoyed I Am Raven, itβs an excellent sequel to I Am Wolf by Alastair Chisholm. These are adventure filled dystopian novels about giant metal creatures which house the human race. Itβs got great characters, and there are some big twists in this sequel! I gasped!!
The book Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins on a white background.
I just finished one of my most anticipated releases of 2025!
I adore The Hunger Games trilogy, and was verrrry disappointed by The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes so went into this book with some trepidation.
I shouldnβt have worried, this book was excellent!!

February wrap up π
I was able to read 11 books in February which Iβm pretty pleased with!
Not pictured here are Sourcery and Eric by Terry Pratchett which I listened to, and They Bloom at Night by Trang Thanh Tran which I read as an ebook!
The book Sourcery by Terry Pratchett held in front of a bookshelf.
Despite being a big fantasy reader I have never read any Terry Pratchett (I know, gasp!) So I decided to make 2025 the year I try and get some Pratchett in my life! My library has loads of the audiobooks, so Iβm listening to them! Sourcery is first up, and I would recommend!
The book Pieces of us next to a cup of coffee.
If youβre looking for a contemporary YA to sob your heart out to, I have just the book!
Pieces of Us by Stewart Foster is based on the authorβs own experiences as a young man, and deals with some difficult topics including grief, death and eating disorders.
Thank you @simonschusteruk.bsky.social

The book Scavengers by Darren Simpson held infront of a very busy book shelf!
My recent audiobook!
I have had Scavengers by Darren Simpson on my shelves for a long time, and finally picked it up as an audiobook from the library!
This is a very unique book about Landfill who lives in a rubbish site. Something very different from the usual middle grade!
The book Strange Beasts by Susan J Morris on a table next to a coffee.
If youβre looking for a historical fantasy novel with a lovely slow burn queer romance look no further than Strange Beasts by Susan J Morris!
Set in the early 1900s Paris, this novel has fantastical beasts and chases in the catacombs of France!
Thank you @hodderscape.bsky.social for the copy!
Iβm late to get to this series, but Iβm loving the Truly Devious series by @maureenjohnson so much! I canβt put them down, and Iβm flying through the series!
This YA crime series is a real page turner! Highly recommend to all!
The book Relic Hamilton, Genie Hunter by Joseph Coelho in front of a bookshelf.
My latest middle grade read! πͺ
Relic Hamilton, Genie Hunter is a really fun fantasy book about Relic, who discovers he and his grandad are members of a secret organisation that deal with genies and other magical creatures.

A kindle next to a cup of coffee.
I forget sometimes that having a kindle is having every single book ever written at my fingertips. Then I get overwhelmed by my TBR pile and think about something else. π
What are you currently reading this week?
#booksbooksbook
The book Why Women Grow next to a vase of daffodils.
My first non fiction book of the year was the excellent Why Women Grow by Alice Vincent.
I was totally enraptured by this book, telling the story of women and the gardens they tend. It made me want to get outside, even if just to appreciate what is growing around me!
The book We Are Blood and Thunder by Kesia Lupo next to a milky coffee on a wooden table.
Boxing Day reading!
Iβve had We Are Blood and Thunder by Kesia Lupo on my TBR pile for a few years, and I found it recently so decided now was the perfect time! I love a YA fantasy, Iβm excited to see what this one is like!
Are you doing any reading this Boxing Day?
The cover of the novel When The Sparrow Falls by Neil Sharpson
I just finished this interesting sci-fi novel this evening. Itβs a classic AI/computers take over the world but with some interesting twists. Itβs got shades of Orwellβs 1984 too, a well crafted standalone novel.
Oh my this book is awesome!! Itβs a fast-paced YA sci-fi that I couldnβt put down!! 5/5 stars!
The book Mindwalker by Kate Dylan held infront of a beige wall and fireplace.
Settling down to read Mindwalker by Kate Dylan. I got this edition from Goldsboro Books and itβs been sitting quietly on my TBR pile until now! Iβm excited!
The book A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir on a wooden table next to a hot chocolate in a white mug.
My latest read!
A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir is the second book in the Ember Quartet. This YA fantasy series slightly passed me by when it was first published but Iβm really enjoying it now. Packed full of magic, with some really unexpected twists, Iβm fully invested in this quartet!
