This is an article about a topic near and dear to my heart, the fact that there are basically no archives for a lot of the important music magazines and it drives me crazy

We made this statement last year. It applies now as well.

US and Israeli imperial aggression seek to destabilize and reshape the entire region.

It is our obligation to do whatever feasible to disrupt the war machine here and abroad.

Got to see a 35mm print of Bram Stoker’s Dracula (92) tonight. The cinematograph scene reminded me of a class I took in college on cinema before television. The professor was talking about the scene, looked at me (pre-transition, peak-goth, corset and all), and said, β€œyou’ve seen it, right?”

While a candidate, @mayor.nyc.gov pledged to commit 0.5% of the city’s budget to public libraries.

Unfortunately, Mayor Mamdani has broken this promise in his preliminary FY27 budget, released yesterday, where he allocated 0.39% to libraries.

This amount is well below the promised 0.5%
