The National Guard is still patrolling DC, carrying handguns & long rifles, patrolling vibrant community spaces in packs to intimidate residents, especially Black residents, of the city.

Times are hard. I had my window busted out my car this week. It is both a sign that people are on the brink and it happened to cost me some unplanned money out my pocket. There are tents for $50 on this list, and it can help keep a person warm in the snow. Smaller donations make a difference too.
Remora House needs tents in DC. It’s actually important to move on these requests quickly because of need, supply chain issues, and how manufacturers manipulate prices. Let’s do this for folks without housing in one of the most militarized places in the US.
