I think vaccines should be mandatory and I believe children have their own inalienable rights. However, that’s not the legal stance in this country, where children are considered property. So…either you customize your message for your audience or you sneer at them. Guess which one works

I worked in public health for a long time - in fact doing mass vaccination clinics - and between “we need to meet people where they’re at” and “look at these fucking idiots, we should shun them,” only the former will reach anyone. Public health is as much about harm reduction as anything.

imo you cannot effectively advocate for a policy based solution while letting parents hold bad opinions without consequence - without that voting block we wind up with RFK, and people should feel bad about
