Kristi Noem is out at DHS. Here's a TV commercial of her on a horse, filmed five months ago at Mount Rushmore, for an ad campaign that cost more than $200 million

Kristi Noem has done a stunning amount of damage and itโ€™s good sheโ€™s gone.

But this doesnโ€™t change the fact that we need a complete overhaul of DHS, impartial investigations into the killings of two American citizens, and information on children that were taken from Minnesota.

This war isnโ€™t an emergency that requires us to give the president more latitude. Itโ€™s a monstrosity that requires that judges, lawmakers and above all citizens work to preserve the integrity of elections and the republic.

How Vulnerable Are Computers to an 80-Year-Old Spy Technique? Congress Wants Answers A pair of US lawmakers are calling for an investigation into how easily spies can steal information based on devicesโ€™ electromagnetic and acoustic leaksโ€”a spying trick the NSA once codenamed TEMPEST.

Senator Ron Wyden and Rep. Shontel Brown are calling for an investigation into the vulnerability of modern computers to what the NSA calls TEMPEST: spy techniques that pick up devices' accidental electromagnetic/radio/acoustic emissions to learn their secrets. www.wired.com/story/how-vu...

I've driven up and down Cermak road in Chicago so many times and I knew that it was named after a former mayor but I didn't know that that mayor, Anton Cermak was SHOT by an ASSASSIN who was trying to KILL FDR, but a woman standing next to the gunman grabbed his arm and he shot Cermak instead.

There's no reason for Iran to attack NATO nation Turkeyโ€”but a drone did. Iran denies sending it.

There's no reason for Iran to attack a UK base in Cyprusโ€”but a drone did. Iran denies sending it.

Now Azerbaijan has been attacked. Iran denies involvement.

I think this is Israel.

Using the traditional option for dislodging potential avalanchesโ€”explosivesโ€”would be difficult, given the timing and the aircrafts the sheriff's office had available. But the night before, at a high-school basketball game, a utility worker with Pacific Gas and Electric Company happened to tell a local sheriffs deputy about an unusual method of dealing with risky slopes. Three years earlier, the company needed to rescue employees and their families who were snowed in at a power plant, and approval for explosives was taking too long. So PG&E had tried dumping water on the slope using a firefighting bucket, Pete Anderson, the senior manager of helicopter operations, told me. It had worked well, and they kept doing it.
By Friday morning, Anderson was on the phone explaining the technique to Haack; a few hours later, one of the company's UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters was dangling a 660-gallon bucket full of water from a nearby lake and dumping it on the avalanche slope. The helicopter made seven drops, until the water in the bucket started freezing. Then it dragged the bucket through the slope, like a wrecking ball. "That was pretty effective too," Anderson told me.

Cancel everything, flying a wrecking ball through an avalanche is now my only interest

It is so damning of US news media that so many outlets refuse to just straight up say that Senator Tim Sheehy assaulted an activist.

He did not "help" Capitol police. They did not need his help. He wanted to assault the guy and did. He should resign.

The last time the United States formally declared war was 1942. It is long past time that Congress asserted its authority. For almost a century, presidents have abused the power of their position to drag the United States and its people into unimaginable carnage and slaughter as Congress sits idle.
