Accounting for the three releases (Allen, Hargrave, Jones) that have been reported, and assuming these were maximum restructures but did not touch the per game roster bonus/workout bonuses in each of the contracts, the Vikings will have $517,799 in cap space per my calculations.
it's based on whether he's on the roster this year ($15.5M for 2027 is guaranteed if he's on the roster on March 13 of this year)
????
I know there's an out but using the out means you either traded for one year of a player or you have to negotiate a new contract, which isn't great!
he hasn't been good but probably don't be blinded so much by how much you dislike him that you trade a second-round pick for a 29-year-old receiver coming off of a sub-700-yard season while taking on all the money ($24.5M cap for the next four years!)
bills really fuckin hate keon coleman huh
Norse Code returns tonight! Any questions for @arif.bsky.social and James?

With free agency urgently approaching, the Vikings have a ton of decisions to make.
I tried to make the team as competitive as possible while keeping a close eye on the cap in my Mock Free Agency for the team, my latest for Wide Left:

For the record, I wrote this before we learned that the Vikings were scared to compete today.
Anyway, if you want to know what the team SHOULD do in Free Agency, check it out:

Looked at all kinds of data, broken out by position, evaluating multiple factors (surface, gear, participation etc) and more to see if there's something more meaningful than "they're just faster"
No the visits don't include workouts for non-local top 30 visits tho "local" visits can include a workout
The reason I don't believe you did before commenting is that it is beyond bizarre to engage with the piece as if you're informing me about something I spent a lot of time talking about. Like you wouldn't interrupt someone talking about Pearl Harbor by saying the Japanese military attacked

Yea man I said I talked about it in the piece

I took that theory into consideration!
